Who are you in our On IT story?
As a Hybrid Cloud Engineer, do you want to make a real impact within complex hybrid environments? In this role, you will combine on-premise expertise with deep Azure knowledge and serve as the technical endpoint for challenging escalations. You will build, optimize and standardize infrastructures within a professional MSP context, with autonomy, responsibility and room for innovation.
Responsibilities
Project-based work
- Set up and manage Windows Server environments (AD, NPS, backup servers, storage, virtualization)
- Implement and manage Microsoft Azure (IaaS) and hybrid links
- Remote preparation and execution of infrastructure projects
- On-site installation of physical server infrastructure as needed
- Ensuring correct and up-to-date documentation
Escalations & Support (Level 3)
- Handle complex escalations from the service desk (final responsibility)
- Support and advise generalist engineers
- Performing remote health checks and maintenance
- Proactively advise customers on optimizations
Innovation & Standardization
- Apply and monitor internal infrastructure standards
- Following up on new technologies within Azure and hybrid infrastructures
- Collaborate on optimization and adaptation of technical baselines
Qualifications
Training & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent through experience
- Minimum possession of Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
- Preferably additional certifications such as:
- Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
- Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305)
Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a similar position (Hybrid Cloud Engineer, System Engineer, Cloud Engineer)
- Experience within an MSP environment is a strong asset
- Experience with both on-premises infrastructure and Azure environments is required
Technical Knowledge
- Windows Server environments (AD, NPS, backup, policies)
- Microsoft Azure (IaaS, resources, networking, storage)
- Microsoft 365 and Intune
- Virtualization platforms:
- VMware ESX
- HPE SimpliVity
- Microsoft Hyper-V
- Block storage and infrastructure architecture
- Hybrid cloud integrations (on-premise ↔ Azure)
