Who are you in our On IT story?<\/h2>

As a Generalist System Engineer<\/strong>, you are the indispensable link that translates technical challenges into smart IT solutions. You combine hands-on interventions with challenging projects and an advisory role with customers. With your broad knowledge and helicopter view, you provide stable, modern IT environments and help build strong, future-oriented relationships. <\/p>

<\/strong><\/p>

Responsibilities<\/h2>

Ad hoc interventions <\/strong><\/p>

  • Perform quick and targeted interventions at customer sites (e.g., replace and configure switches and firewalls)<\/li>
  • Resolve urgent malfunctions and technical incidents<\/li>
  • Ensure smooth feedback and documentation upon completion<\/li><\/ul>

    Project-based assignments <\/strong><\/p>

    • One or more days at the same client for larger assignments<\/li>
    • Install and replace multiple workstations (e.g. 10+ PCs)<\/li>
    • Renew and configure complete installations of switches and network equipment<\/li>
    • Support the setup and renewal of server rooms<\/li>
    • Working closely with one of our internal specialized Competence Centers on larger projects (Cloud, Modern Workplace, Networking)<\/li><\/ul>

      Advisory role <\/strong><\/p>

      • Engage with customers to identify their IT needs<\/li>
      • Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions from a helicopter view<\/li>
      • Helping clients strategically align their IT infrastructure with their business goals<\/li><\/ul>

        General responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>

        • Act as a point of contact for customer technical questions<\/li>
        • Document and report interventions and project results<\/li>
        • Proactively contribute to knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team<\/li>
        • Collaborate on innovation and further professionalization of IT services<\/li><\/ul>

          Qualifications<\/h2>

          Technical knowledge<\/strong><\/p>

          • Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure<\/strong> and network technologies<\/strong><\/li>
          • Experience with switching<\/strong>, firewalls<\/strong> and migrations<\/strong><\/li>
          • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft technologies<\/strong> and Azure<\/strong><\/li>
          • Experience with hardware from HP<\/strong> and Dell<\/strong><\/li>
          • A relevant firewall certification<\/strong> (or willingness to obtain one)<\/li><\/ul>

            Experience<\/strong><\/p>

            • Several years of work experience in a service provider environment<\/strong><\/li>
            • Experience with both ad hoc interventions and project-based assignments<\/li>
            • Strong familiarity with a Modern Workplace, Hybrid Cloud, or Security team is a plus!<\/li><\/ul>

              Languages<\/strong><\/p>

              • Dutch<\/strong>: excellent command in word and writing<\/li>
              • English<\/strong>: professional use for clients and documentation<\/li>
              • French<\/strong>: a nice plus<\/li><\/ul>

                Personal skills<\/strong><\/p>

                • Be able to work independently and take responsibility<\/li>
                • Maturity and professional appearance during customer visits<\/li>
                • Strong administrative skills for documenting client environments<\/li>
                • Basic knowledge of project management<\/strong> to address interventions in a structured way<\/li>
                • Strong communication skills: you can explain complex IT issues clearly<\/li>
                • Flexible mindset and problem-solving ability<\/li><\/ul>
